I find myself wanting to elevate my worth and *slowly* working on it but along the way, I begin to realize that what I'm doing is that I'm trying to elevate my worth in my own eyes//other people's.. But what about my worth in front of Allah swt?

This life is temporary, it's not the life we're going to live for eternity. Even if you were to climb your ivory tower till the very top, someday it will all come to end or chances are someday you're gonna fall. 

So Nurul Sakinah, instead of focusing on being among the people on the top, in this world, I strongly recommend you to put your head on the ground and Allah will bring you waaay higher and perhaps even way faster than you could ever imagine.
