Why is it that it's way easier to quit or to move for the love you have for another soul than it is for the love you have for yourself? Like, why is it that "Let's quit this because I love you." comes naturally but "because you love yourself" happens to sound insufficient in a way? Why is it that the love you have for yourself is a reason not concrete enough when you know for sure it should be? Why can't you do it simply for the love of you, why must it be for the love of another being? Why?

  1. You do it for another person because love you have for them keeps you from being selfish and only thinking about your own desires. It keeps you from hurting others to fulfill your own wants. So you give them what they need, be it space or time, without putting your own wants first.

When it comes to you, you end up hurting yourself because you can't separate what you desire and what's best for you. Sometimes that want is regarded higher than what's better for you. The kinda thinking "If you give the one you love what they want, why can't you give yourself what you want?" isn't the best because really, sometimes what you and your loved ones want might not even be the same thing.
